Abha, the city in the clouds found in the south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is a gem yet still to be discovered. Whether you live in Abha or are coming to visit for a week here are a few suggustions of date night locations with the one you love. While in Abha these were some of my husband and my favorite date nights. Truly at 4 out of 5 chickpea experience. Your spouse is worth investing in, and Abha is a beautiful place to get lost in nature, be refreshed by the incredible weather, flowers, mountains and trees. Refresh your soul and your marriage while in Abha.
1. Coffee and Desert at Fog Coffee in High City
Melbourne Australia coffee culture found the best outdoor mall High City. This coffee shop is found after a little walk where you can find barista’s who make an excellent cup of coffee. From V60s hot and cold to sweet lattes and incredible sweets, their beans and taste is like none other in Abha. They have outdoor seating on the roof, giving you a picturesque view of the mountains and or the clouds depending on the day.
This is a great place to connect or go on a date with your spouse. Have a beautiful view, an excellent cup of coffee and a delicious desert.

2. Fancy Date Night Jorry Elite and a walk in Abu Kheyal Park
In the middle of Abha, across the street from High City you can find the stunning Jorry Elite. Each floor has a different fancy restaurant that is perfect for a special occasion date. Italian, Lebanese and International cuisines are available. This restaurant has a view over the stunning Abu Kheyal Park.

3. Eat traditional food with an incredible view at Shandal شندل
If you are able to grab one of their outdoor seating overlooking a farm, it is a MUST TRY. The view and the found is an incredible experience. The menu is only available in Arabic. This area gets a little crowded at night, book a reservation or be happy to wait at one of the coffee shops next to it.
Everything we ate, and that was we saw the other customers eating looked incredible.

4. Walk on Art Street and eat Dinner at Raj Indian Resturant
Take a walk on Art Street, look at the beautiful trees blooming with purple flowers. After that dive into a delish Indian feast at Raj Indian Restaurant. Not the best indian food I’ve ever had but really good for Abha. However the location is incredible with the view over art street. Habibi and I feasted on: Butter Chicken, Butter Naan, Lentil Soup, Beef Sambuusas and some rice.
One thing to note; parking around art street is very limited so you may have to take a bit of time to find somewhere to park before enjoying your evening.

5. Traditional Saudi Breakfast Date at Al Areesh
Found on the main street of Abha, this resturant is next to two other incredible places. We first noticed it because of the parking being backed up. All the locals, tourists and everyone around seemed to be enjoying the food. It did not disapoint! Incredible tradditional food, amazing amtosphere, fantastic servce. Relaxing and a great place to be with your spouse and experience Saudi Culture.
