- Make an account and verify it
- Fill out the application
- Pay the fee which is around 535 SAR [143 USD]
- You will then recieve an email saying your application has been made
- Wait for 5-20 minutes or max 24 hours then your eVisa will arrive!
- Download your eVisa and save it in your phone or text it to your significant other making it easy to pull out for the border control
Why you should apply for an eVisa rather than Visa-on-Arrival
The eVisa process is super fast and super easy. You can arrive to any airport in Saudi with no stress because you already have your eVisa. When you arrive they will take a scan of your fingerprints and a picture of your face for their records.
Visa-on-Arrival is often a screen which takes you to the online landing page of https://visa.visitsaudi.com/. The computer/standing screen doesn’t always work. However in certain airports like Jeddah there is a fancy sitting area for you to apply for the visa and wait before you can go to passport control. While it is slightly cheeper to apply on arrival, because tourism is still pretty new not all border guards are familiar with helping people get visa on arrival. Saudi only opened its doors to tourists beyond the pilgrims in 2019. Two of those years people couldn’t travel into the country though due to covid, so tourism is still very new.
